Greetings
It is our great pleasure to invite you for the 2009 International Symposium on Migratory Birds – Seabirds in Danger: Invasive species and conservation of island ecosystem. The symposium which is to be held 25 September 2009 in Mokpo, is organized by the National Park Research Institute and the Shinan County, under the auspices of the Korea Ministry of Environment, Jeonnam Provincial Government, The Ornithological Society of Korea, and The Ecological Society of Korea.
This symposium is planned to increase public awareness on seabird conservation and harmful effects of exotic species on islands. Outstanding researchers from the world will introduce recent studies on the effect of exotic species invasion in the islands and management strategies of the invasive species. We hope that this symposium can be the opportunity to share the effort of conservation on the seabirds and island ecosystem in Asian areas.
